Office of Public Private Partnerships

Office of Public Private Partnerships

The Fairfax County Office of Public Private Partnerships creates and develops public-private partnerships to stimulate positive change in the community and encourage civic involvement and responsibility. The office brings together representatives and resources from public and private sectors to address community issues impacting the quality of life in the County. This pooling of resources has an effectiveness which surpasses government or private institutions acting alone.

ABOUT OPPP

Our Mission

Our mission is to catalyze public private partnerships that address community issues impacting quality of life in the County.

How We Provide Valuable Services

Our success in creating partnerships like the Medical Care for Children Partnership, the CASH-VITA partnership, and others, has given us a solid knowledge-base and the relationships needed to initiate many new partnerships that address other needs in the county. When and if your organization, agency, or company wishes to form a partnership, contact us and we will assist existing or emerging partnerships by doing the following:
  • Process partnership requests using our predetermined set of criteria

  • Work with customers whose requests have been accepted by the committee

  • Identify potential partners from county agencies, businesses, faith based organizations, NGOs and citizens

  • Provide training and facilitate the partnerships-help organizations develop competence to maintain a partnership

  • Coordinate with existing agencies and entities that are doing similar work

  • Identify opportunities for sustainability when necessary for the partnerships
