Mount Vernon – Aquatics Mount Vernon RECenter has a 25 meter x 25 yard pool with a one-meter Duraflex springboard, a beach area with aquatic toys, an outdoor sundeck, poolside spa, and locker rooms with saunas and showers. Our comprehensive programs promote safety, skill development, fitness, social interaction and fun. Various user groups share pool space. Swim teams and Aquatic Adventures Scuba Diving rent space for practice and meets. FCPA and Fairfax County Public Schools share the commitment for hosting the high school swim and dive teams for practice and meets November through February. 
Beach and Play Area Gentle jets of water greet swimmers entering the beach area. Fountains are discovered just beyond. Tumble buckets drop water to surprised and delighted swimmers below. The play area features are always running unless classes are being conducted. Our Lifeguards Professionally trained lifeguards oversee all natatorium activities. We are proud to be associated with Ellis & Associates (E & A), an aquatic safety consulting firm that provides the National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program (NPWLTP). Licensed lifeguards maintain high standards with constant training and practice.
