The Forestville SchoolhouseThis classic version of the traditional one-room schoolhouse, built in 1890, has served over the years as a school, church, library, bank, post office and private residence. The Great Falls Heritage, Inc. joined with the Park Authority in the 1986 restoration of the schoolhouse. The building has a small catering area and two rooms with hardwood floors and large windows. It is a fabulous site for dinner parties or receptions of up to 49. Proximity to Tysons Corner, Herndon, Reston, and the Dulles Technology Corridor and an array of available audio-visual and presentation equipment make the Forestville Schoolhouse a great place for a company meeting, seminar, or retreat. The Forestville Schoolhouse can also be rented in conjunction with the adjacent Great Falls Grange to create a small conference center. Located in the Great Falls Grange Park, the Forestville Schoolhouse may be reached by taking Beltway Exit 44 (Georgetown Pike west) for 6.2 miles to the park entrance on the right.
