Fairfax Park Authority Annual Report Available

Exploring the PossibilitiesThe Fairfax County Park Authority recently published our Annual Report "Exploring the Possibilities." This report represents some of the highlights of 2007. It was a remarkable year with the opening of several important new facilities such as Patriot Park, Giles Run Meadow Park as well as Dulles Corner Park to name but a few.

Inside you will find commentary from our Board Chairman Hal Strickland as well as quick-to-read articles about our stewardship efforts, historic preservation and progress in the area of land preservation.

The Fairfax County Park Authority is filled with opportunities. You can find fitness at our RECenters; enjoy the pleasures of walking our trails, and play competitive field sports on synthetic turf fields. It's no wonder that eight out of ten county residents have visited a park recently.

Please contact our Public Information Office at 703-324-8662 for hardcopies of this report. We love to tell the Park Authority story at civic meetings and association gatherings, so please consider contacting us for your next get-together. You can request a speaker by emailing us.

Fairfax County loves its parks. Our residents understand the link between great parks and great communities. A strong, vibrant and healthy park system raises the quality of life for everyone in its service area. Enjoy these natural amenities and visit a park near you!
