• Exceptional Design Awards
  Sponsored by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and administered by the Department of Planning and Zoning and the Architectural Review Board, the Exceptional Design Awards program recognizes achievement in the total design of building and site; and creates an awareness of outstanding planning and design projects among design professions and the general public.
• Lake Anne Village Center Plan Amendment Study
• Lorton/Laurel Hill Property
  On July 15, 2002, Fairfax County received title to the former D.C. Department of Corrections facility at Lorton. The Laurel Hill Adaptive Reuse Citizens Task Force was established by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to guide the master planning of the adaptive reuse areas of Laurel Hill.

• Planned Development Districts Amendments
  Information related to zoning districts with few specified requirements, intended to encourage creative development and provide greater flexibility than conventional districts.

• Staff Reports for Proposed Plan Amendments
  Public hearing information and staff reports related to proposed Amendments to the Fairfax County Comprehensive Plan being considered by the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors.

• In July 2004, the Planning Commission, at the Board's request, deferred all rail-related APR nominations in Tysons Corner pending a Special Study to evaluate the area's transportation system and review Tysons Corner rail related Plan recommendations
